Singer asks for overseas aid to be hiked by €725m
Bono asked the Taoiseach to spend more than €725 million extra on Ireland’s overseas aid budget in a behind-closed-doors meeting held last year.
The meeting is understood to have taken place just before Christmas at Government Buildings.
