Barricade raises €1.05m on hacker warning system

Barricade Security Systems, an Irish tech company which has developed an early hacker warning product, has raised $1.2 million (€1.05 million) from a syndicate of venture capital and angel investors.

The Cork-based application security management platform was founded by David Coallier, a data scientist and start-up veteran.

Barricade’s new funding was raised from Frontline Ventures, Tribal Ventures, the SaaS Syndicate and an early stage Australian seed fund called Business Switch.

Five angel investors also backed the company, including Jonathan Siegel, a San Francisco-based serial entrepreneur; Niall Harbison, the founder of online city guide Lovindublin and Dave Concannon, the co-founder of Hosted Graphite. Technology ...
