Bank of Ireland apologised unreservedly for its role in the tracker scandal after being issued with the biggest fine to date by the Central Bank
Bank of Ireland has been fined over €100 million for its role in the tracker mortgage scandal.
In a statement this morning, the Central Bank said it had fined Ireland’s largest bank by assets more than €100.5 million for what it called a “series of significant and long-running failings in respect of 15,910 tracker mortgage customer accounts” between 2004 and 2022.
