Ban on using smartphones in cars is mooted

The senior Garda in charge of road policing has warned that smartphones may have to be banned in cars to stop drivers from watching videos and taking photos.

TDs have been getting complaints from cyclists about drivers looking at videos on their smartphones while at the wheel.
