BAM silent on penalty clause for early exit on NCH deal
The construction firm building the National Children’s Hospital will not disclose whether it will impose a financial penalty on the government if the project is re-tendered.
BAM last week offered to pull out of the contract if asked to do so by the board of the hospital. The hospital has been embroiled in controversy after it was revealed that construction costs have risen from €800 million in 2014 to current estimates of €1.7 billion.
