Fine Gael ministers believe that the political future of TD Maria Bailey is still in doubt even though she has been allowed to hold onto the party whip.

There are continuing discussions in the party about the fallout from her compensation claim for injuries received from falling off a swing in a Dublin hotel, which she later withdrew after a public outcry.
