Bailey asked retired judge to help stall French probe
Ian Bailey last month wrote to Mr Justice Nial Fennelly requesting assistance in stalling a seven year French investigation into the murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier.
The 58-year-old argued that the French probe could interrupt the work of the Fennelly Commission which is inquiring into the historic taping of non-999 phone calls at garda stations including Bandon in Cork where Bailey was arrested in 1997.
