Public service barriers to be reviewed amid pensions worries
The Government has agreed to implement recommendations made by an interdepartmental group set up to consider policies on retirement age in both the public and private sectors.
In line with one recommendation, the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform is to review, with public service employers, the barriers to extended participation in the public service workforce up to the age of entitlement to the State pension.
