Avolon orders 40 more 737 MAX planes valued at $4bn

Dublin-based aircraft leasing giant said it expects the aircraft to be delivered between 2027 and 2030

Avolon has announced plans to order 40 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft valued at more than $4 billion (€3.6bn).

The Dublin-based aircraft leasing giant said on Thursday it expects the aircraft to be delivered between 2027 and 2030.

The company said the new aircraft would reduce fuel use and emissions by up to 20 per cent compared to the aircraft they will replace, and is set to increase the overall size of Avolon’s fleet to 870 ...
