Audit finds Dún Laoghaire council employees approved their own requests for overtime

Employees at Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council approved their own requests for overtime, a newly published audit has found.

A statutory review by the Local Government Audit Service found a range of issues with the council’s overtime payments during 2021.

This included missing claims forms, errors in how claims were calculated, and staff signing off on their own payments.
