It was the Archbishop of Dublin, Diarmuid Martin, who suggested that Pope Francis visit the Capuchin Day Centre on Bow Street in Dublin.

The Pope’s arrival at the centre yesterday to meet a group of around 80 men, women and children who regularly get hot meals there was another endorsement of its work. Its manager, former detective garda Alan Bailey, said it was a charity that was close to Pope Francis’s heart.
