Applegreen, the petrol forecourt retailer, has announced an 11 per cent increase in earnings to €32 million for 2016 and plans to pay its first dividend since floating on the stock market in June 2015. Here are the key points in the results:

- Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by 11 per cent to €32 million while revenue was up by nine per cent to €1.18 billion with
