New figures show senior counsel Maurice Collins was paid around €45,000
The Department of Finance spent about €75,000 on legal fees for barristers in September for advice about the European Union’s state aid investigation case against Apple.
New figures published by the department show senior counsel Maurice Collins was paid about €45,000, while British barrister Philip Baker received fees of about €30,000. The pair have been advising the government on the case since it was filed by the EU’s Competition Commission.
