Animation creators to receive €1m funding for new cartoon series

Turnip and Duck, an award-winning Dublin-based production company, is to receive just under €1 million in funding for a new RTÉ cartoon series.

The company’s first original series, Critters.TV, will air on RTÉjr later this year, with support from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, the Irish Film Board and Crossing the Line Films. The series will feature animated Irish animals watching live action nature documentary footage.
