Amazon granted permission for two new data centres in north Dublin

Existing grid connection allows cloud services company to expand facility at Clonshaugh

Amazon Web Services has been given permission to construct two additional data centres at a site in Clonshaugh in north Dublin.

The application was delayed earlier this year when Dublin City Council told the cloud services company that it must provide a large amount of additional literature to prove that granting permission for the new facility would not create an over-concentration of the facilities in the area.
