Rise in road deaths 'alarming', says RSA
A report on road safety covering the period from January 1 to July 28 this year showed that 89 people died on the roads, up 7 per cent from 83 in the same period last year
The chief executive of the Road Safety Authority (RSA) has described figures for road deaths in Ireland so far this year as "alarming".
Moyagh Murdock was responding to a report on road safety covering the period from January 1 to July 28 this year, which showed that 89 people died on the roads, up 7 per cent from 83 in the same period last year. There were 80 collisions, an increase of 3 per cent.
