Airbnb hosts in Ireland were told at the weekend that they will be locked out of the site from tomorrow (Tuesday) unless they sign up to an "anti-discrimination" pledge.

The accommodation sharing website quietly informed its Irish users of the change over the bank holiday holiday weekend.

The letter informs hosts that the move is part of "a comprehensive effort to fight bias and discrimination in the Airbnb community".
