Agreement on sale of Aer Lingus now closer
At the start, the discussion in government was about whether to sell or not to sell the Aer Lingus stake. Now it is about the price.
Michael Noonan was not impressed with the Labour Party’s position on Aer Lingus.
“One of the most nauseating sights in Irish politics is the Labour Party wrestling with their conscience and always winning,” he said.
But he was not talking about Labour’s emergency motion at their annual conference in Killarney this weekend, which calls for extra protections before any sell-off of the state’s 25.1 per cent stake in Aer Lingus.
