Aer Lingus unveils new Miami flight in transatlantic expansion drive

IAG-driven growth also sees summer routes added to Portugal and Croatia

Aer Lingus isto add to its US long-haul network with a new route to Miami as part ofits IAG-driven expansion to 2.5 million transatlantic seats in 2017.

The airline will also add Porto in Portugal and Split in Croatia to its 100,000-seat summer schedule.

The move will bump up transatlantic capacity by 21 per cent, on 13 destinations, when the Miami route begins on 1 September next year.
