Abbott to create 1,000 jobs in Kilkenny and Donegal as part of major expansion

New greenfield site to be built in Kilkenny with expansion at Donegal facility as part of €440 million investment

Abbott first established operations in Ireland in 1946 and employs 5,000 people in locations across Ireland such as Cavan, Dublin, Longford, Sligo, Galway and Tipperary.

One thousand jobs are to be created by Abbott, the US pharmaceutical company, in Kilkenny and Donegal as part of a €440 million investment here.

The move expands Abbott’s existing Donegal site and funds construction of a new, greenfield, manufacturing facility in Kilkenny.
