It was all a bit tense at the Garda Representative Association (GRA)’s headquarters in the Phibsborough tower in Dublin last Thursday evening.
The central executive committee (CEC) of the GRA, which represents around 10,500 rank-and-file gardaí, had been meeting for several hours as an unprecedented strike by gardaí loomed.
