Williams has been giving evidence to the Disclosures Tribunal about his March 2014 interview with Ms D, the woman who made an allegation of child sexual assault against McCabe in 2006.

Ms D alleged she had been molested during a game of hide and seek in the late 1990s, while aged six or seven. The matter was investigated and a file was sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions which found McCabe had no case to answer.
