The report by the Dail’s Public Accounts Committee on financial irregularities at Templemore contains some very damaging observations about the Garda Commissioner and the culture of the force that she oversees.

It finds there was a “persistent reluctance” to inform the relevant authorities when concerns were raised about how money was being handled at the garda training college.
