- An increasing number of Irish are remaining in Australia illegally as immigration laws tighten and job opportunities shrink. 401 Irish citizens were returned or removed from Australia for violating visa conditions in the twelve months to June 2015. A further 309 returned voluntarily.

- The Prince of Wales may be invited to Easter 2016 commemoration events Minister Heather Humphreys has said.
