Volvo to go electric from 2019

The Swedish car maker plans hybrid or electric options on all new models

Swedish carmaker Volvo has said that all new models launched from 2019 will be fully electric or hybrid as it phases out cars that rely on combustion engines.

Promising the “historic end” of cars that only have combustion engines, Volvo Car Group said in a statement that it would introduce five electric models by 2021 and offer hybrid options across its product line.
