The head of the agency which manages Ireland's debt has said recent figures showing 26 per cent growth in the Irish economy last year are "not helpful".
But National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) chief executive Conor O'Kelly added that investors understood the nature of the Irish economy.
Speaking at a half-year update, he also said it would take time before the impact of the Brexit referendum on debt markets could be properly assessed.
