UTV Media sells Juice FM

5th June, 2015

UTV Media has agreed to sell Juice FM, its radio station in Liverpool, to Global Radio Holdings for £10 million (€13.6 million) in cash.

The proceeds from the disposal, which is conditional on approval by the UK's Competition and Markets Authority, will be used to reduce UTV's existing debt.

UTV said a strategic review of its remaining UK independent local radio stations is continuing and "further announcements will be made in due course".

Juice reported pre-tax profits of £408,000 on revenues of £2.2 million last year.
