US Catholic hospital giant weighs up move into Ireland

Dignity Health, a US healthcare providers, has annual revenues of $12.4 billion

Dignity Health, one of the US’s largest healthcare providers with annual revenues of $12.4 billion, is looking at expanding into Ireland.

The healthcare provider which employs 60,000 people in the US, held talks earlier this month with up to six Irish hospitals about forming partnerships or even making acquisitions here.

Dignity is believed to have looked at healthcare assets in Waterford, Mullingar, Limerick and Kilkenny, which are for sale or require additional investment.
