US-backed fund in row with Ronan over Foxrock site

A fund backed by US investment giant Oaktree is locked in dispute with the property developer Johnny Ronan over land rights at a valuable site in south Dublin.

Targeted Investment Opportunities (TIO) is seeking to develop 35 apartments at The Birches, an affluent area of Foxrock where residents over the years have included Maurice Pratt and Seán Dunne, Hugh Cooney and Ronan himself.

Ronan still owns no. 10 The Birches through his company, Academy Geographic.
