Union tells Axa staff to accept redundancy deal

Consolidation will impact 108 full-time jobs

Dublin-based Axa Insurance staff whose jobs are to be relocated to Derry have been warned by their trade union they must accept the terms of a deal with the company.

The agreement was hammered out following weeks of negotiations after the French insurer announced the relocation plans that will impact more than 200 full-time and contract staff at the insurer.

The consolidation will impact 108 full-time jobs in sales and distribution, claims and operational underwriting departments.
