Tullamore Dew to invest €25m in Offaly distillery and bottling site

Grain distillery is expected to be up and running by end of next year

Whiskey brand Tullamore Dew is to invest at least €25 million in its site in Co Offaly over the next five years.

The whiskey’s parent company, William Grant & Sons, has already invested €40 million in building a distillery and renovating its visitor centre since it purchased Tullamore Dew in 2010.

It opened the distillery in 2014, returning whiskey production to the area for the first time since the original operation was closed down...
