Transport minister Shane Ross vetted new judges

Ross passed the incoming judges despite some having links to Fine Gael

The Minister for Transport, Shane Ross, had the names of the judges appointed by government vetted prior to their sign-off at cabinet last week.

Despite some of the incoming judges having links to Fine Gael, Ross satisfied himself sufficiently to allow the appointments to proceed, and also signed off on the approval of judges to be appointed later this year.
