Tirlán boss: ‘Energy inflation is just enormous, it’s really off the scale’

Jim Bergin is sitting in a second-floor drawing room at Lyrath Estate in Co Kilkenny, where the morning sun is beaming in through the large bay windows of the 16th-century house.

The chief executive of Ireland’s largest dairy processor is in relaxed form after a busy week, having formally announced a new identity and brand name. Glanbia Ireland announced it was changing its name to Tirlán, which roughly translates as “land of abundance”.
