Three charged in Tesco accounting probe

SFO action was sparked by overstating of profits

Three former Tesco executives have been charged with fraud by British prosecutors in relation to an accounting scandal.

Carl Rogberg, the former finance director, Christopher Bush, the former UK managing director, and John Scouler, the former commercial food director in the UK, were all charged with one count of fraud by abuse of position and one count of false accounting by Britain's Serious Fraud Office today.

The SFO said the investigation into the company continues.
