Bonnie Greer: ‘Ireland is Europe, Ireland has enormous power’

American novelist and journalist Bonnie Greer captured Irish hearts last week, when she defended Ireland during a heated Brexit debate on BBC’s Question Time. The Chicago native and British citizen was part of a panel discussing potential trade deals between Britain and the US following Britain’s departure from the EU. Cutting right to the chase she stunned audiences with her declaration that “Ireland owes the UK nothing”.
