Tesco worst-rated of 'big four' grocers for following supplier codes

Tesco is now the worst-rated of Britain’s ‘big four’ supermarket chains when it comes to complying with industry codes of conduct designed to protect suppliers, according to a survey commissioned by a UK watchdog.

The YouGov survey of 1,145 suppliers found that 4 per cent of Tesco’s suppliers felt the company never complied with the code.

In February, the Groceries Code Adjudicator opened an investigation into Tesco’s relations with its suppliers....
