Teachers are facing the prospect of losing out on pay rises if they do not agree to Junior Certificate reforms.
The country’s secondary school teachers’ unions are represented at talks with government, which are expected to lead to pay rises for public servants.
But with proposals to reform the Junior Certificate currently at a standstill, education minister Jan O’Sullivan is prepared to have the issue included in the talks.
