Tayto Park to welcome its own Viking age

€5.5m water ride aims to make big splash

Tayto Park in Co Meath is hoping for an invasion of customers once its €5.5 million Viking-themed water ride opens this summer.

Tayto Park invested over €2 million in theming the Viking Voyage attraction, hiring Acapple, which builds the sets for Game of Thrones, and the North’s bespoke manufacturer Deluxe Group for the project. It also used Viking experts from Sweden.

The attraction, which will open in June, will feature Viking ships, currachs...
