Volume of home-building up 10.5 per cent in Q2, says CSO

Residential building leads Q2 construction growth

Official figures show that the pace of activity in the construction sector picked up in the second quarter of this year.

Volumes in the second quarter were 16.5 per cent higher compared with a year earlier.

The value of building production rose by 6.2 per cent during the quarter and 17 per cent over the year.
