St Vincent de Paul faces Christmas crisis as calls for help soar

Charity launches appeal for public donations

The Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVP) is urgently appealing for help to care for the most vulnerable this Christmas.

In November alone its east region (Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow) the charity received approximately 10,000 calls – an increase of 7 per cent on the same period last year. Similar trends are being experienced in different parts of the country.
