A former Irish army officer was consulted about setting up a new Scottish Army by the Scottish Nationalist Party.
But it has emerged that one of the people who provided advice on how an independent Scotland could defend itself was retired Colonel Dorcha Lee.
He had held discussions with a Scottish Nationalist Party (SNP) study group which was developing its defence policy ahead of the 2014 independence referendum.
