Smithwicks head back to Kilkenny

Family launching Sullivan’s Brewing

The Smithwick family is bringing beer brewing back to Kilkenny with the launch of Sullivan’s Brewing Company.

The company has been set up by Paul Smithwick, a member of the Kilkenny brewing family, and Alan Quane, former global commercial director for Guinness.

It is currently raising a round of €1.8 million. It has about 70 per cent of that money raised, Quane, its chief executive, said.
