Scientologists may apply for charity status

The Church of Scientology will consider opening more centres here and is exploring the possibility of seeking charitable status, a senior figure based at its multimillion-euro Irish hub has said.

When asked why Scientology was expanding its operations in Ireland so prolifically, senior Scientology director Diana Stahl said that Ireland “holds a special place in the history of Scientology, in the hearts and minds of Scientologists”.
