Scale of pressure on state over social housing revealed

Range of developers and property funds have lobbied government

New documents obtained by The Sunday Business Post show the extent to which major financial and property players have been privately urging the state to open up social housing provision to private investment.

The papers show that a variety of domestic and international firms have lobbied the government on a variety of matters, including a key “enhanced” social housing contract.
