Green Party TD Eamon Ryan has said he is hopeful that Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg will attend a hearing on misinformation in Dublin this year.

Zuckerberg has been criticised for not engaging directly with the international grand committee on disinformation and ‘fake news’, which is made up of politicians from nine parliaments. Ryan is a member along with Fine Gael’s Hildegarde Naughton and Fianna Fáil’s James Lawless....
