Revenue to target foreign tech professionals

Multinational workers given thousands in share bonus options a year are not up to speed with their Irish tax obligations, according to Niall Cody of Revenue Commissioners

The Revenue Commissioners are targeting well-heeled tech workers who have failed to pay Irish tax on lucrative share bonuses worth tens of thousands every year, chairman Niall Cody has told The Sunday Business Post.

Multinational workers are rewarded with share options for performance and as part of their pay packages. These options are often worth thousands of euro every year.
