A proposal to build a memorial to the survivors of Magdalene Laundries is to be considered by a working group established by the new Lord Mayor of Dublin, Nial Ring.

The group has visited the site of the last remaining laundry, on Sean McDermott Street in central Dublin, and will meet tomorrow to draw up its terms of reference.
