A movie based on the Miami Showband massacre is expected to go into pre-production by the end of the year, with filming to begin in early 2017.

Three members of the band – lead singer Fran O’Toole, guitarist Tony Geraghty and trumpeter Brian McCoy – were murdered in July 1975 on their way home from a gig.
