At 2pm on Tuesday afternoon, the third impeachment trial in US history will get underway. Legal teams for both sides have been appointed, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has been sworn in as presiding officer, and each of the 100 senators has taken an oath pledging to act as an impartial juror.
