Paddy Power is expected to pay out between €70,000 and €80,000 in compensation to members of Mandate Trade Union over the denial of rest breaks in 92 separate cases.

Last July, 14 cases were won by Mandate where workers were awarded between €750 to €1,000 each.

The second tranche of decisions by the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) ordered Paddy Power to pay 11 workers a cumulative €10,100 in compensation for the denial of rest breaks.
